Instructions for Authors
To ensure a smooth and efficient review process, please adhere to the following instructions for authors. Our goal is to maintain high standards of scientific quality and relevance while facilitating a clear and straightforward submission process.
1. Manuscript Preparation
General Guidelines:
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in English. Ensure that the language is clear and concise.
- Format: Prepare your manuscript using a standard word processing format (e.g., Microsoft Word). Use 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced text, and 1-inch margins.
- Length: There is no strict length limit, but we encourage concise and focused manuscripts. Review articles and case studies should be proportionate to their content.
Structure:
- Title Page: Include the manuscript title, author names, affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author. Provide a concise and informative title.
- Abstract: Provide a structured abstract of up to 250 words summarizing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions of the study.
- Keywords: Include 3-5 keywords that best describe the content of the manuscript.
- Main Text: Organize the main text into sections such as Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion. Follow the scientific method and ensure logical flow.
- Acknowledgments: Include acknowledgments for funding sources, contributions from non-authors, and any conflicts of interest.
- References: Follow the journal’s reference style, and ensure all citations are accurate and complete. Use a reference management tool if needed.
- Figures and Tables: Number figures and tables consecutively and provide descriptive captions. Submit high-resolution images (300 dpi) in a separate file.
2. Submission Process
Online Submission:
- Manuscripts must be submitted through our online submission system. Create an account or log in to submit your manuscript and track its progress.
- During submission, provide complete author details, including full names, affiliations, and email addresses.
Supplementary Materials:
- If applicable, upload supplementary materials such as data sets, additional figures, or videos. Clearly label and describe each supplementary file.
3. Ethical Considerations
Originality:
- Ensure that your manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere. All sources and prior work should be properly cited.
Ethical Compliance:
- For research involving human participants or animals, include statements on ethical approval and informed consent. Provide relevant details in the Methods section.
Conflict of Interest:
- Disclose any potential conflicts of interest related to the research or publication. Authors should ensure transparency regarding financial or personal interests that could influence their work.
4. Peer Review Process
Review Process:
- Manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and provide feedback to help improve the manuscript.
Revisions:
- Authors may be requested to revise their manuscript based on reviewer comments. Address all feedback thoroughly and resubmit the revised manuscript along with a response letter detailing how comments were addressed.
5. Copyright and Licensing
Copyright Transfer:
- Upon acceptance, authors will be required to transfer copyright to Sealing Technology Journal. This allows us to publish and distribute the work.
Open Access:
- The journal follows an open access model, providing free access to all published articles. Authors may be asked to pay APCs to cover the cost of open access publication.
6. Submission Checklist
Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure:
- Manuscript is prepared according to the journal’s guidelines.
- All required files are uploaded and correctly formatted.
- Ethical approvals and conflict of interest statements are included.
- References and citations are complete and accurate.
